The Annual Education Forum was held at the Church of Christ at Jackson Street, Saturday, November 5, 2016. The theme of the forum was, Let’s Talk about Education, “A Call to Action.” Teachers, administrators, parents, high school students, and community leaders attended the forum. The opening speaker was Damien Durr, Minister of Youth & Young Adults at The Temple Church. Parents, teachers high school & college students, and administrators engaged in workshops and dialog addressing key issues that are impacting the success of our children. The keynote speaker was Dr. Shawn Joseph, MNPS director of schools. Continental breakfast was served, door prizes were given away and many educational books and materials were available for participants.
