This is a notification of some sort.
Greetings GNABSE Members & Friends,As the president of The Greater Nashville Alliance of Black School Educators, I am humbled that you have chosen me to be your president and it is truly an honor to represent this great organization. For me, education is a gift and I am passionate about our students and teachers. I want us to work fervently to assure opportunities of success for them.
GNABSE encourages the community to invest in our children with love, support, and tools to promote and facilitate the education of all students and to place particular emphasis on the type of learning which builds positive, realistic self- concepts especially among black students. The National Alliance of Black Educators (NABSE) has declared “Education is a Civil Right”. We will work together to ensure our students are readers, who are becoming leaders, and failure is not an option.
We need and want you to be a part of the Greater Nashville Alliance of Black School Educators. I invite all of you to become a member and challenge you to encourage any person who is associated with any phase of educational work in a public or non-public school to become a member. Join us in the commitment to make a meaningful difference in the future lives of our students and fellow colleagues. As educators, we know it takes a village; so, I solicit your support. Together, we can make a difference!
Sincerely,
Debra M. Smith, Ed. D.
